Whoa. It's as violent as you have heard with one scene leaving me wondering "how the hell they do that?" Not really a fun time at the movies though. The cannibals are at least civilized, it's the stupid photographers who get eaten and at the end they deserve it.
The turtle getting carved up for dinner was harsh. Yes, it's exploitative and nasty but it does have something to say and the point gets across clearly.
