Review of Cannibal Holocaust (1980) by Shawn F — 03 Mar 2009
A movie totally misunderstood by his enemies and by his supporters. This is much more that a compilation of ultra gore scene, this is a profound and clever reflexion on the American colonization, the notion of barbarians and the power of images.
All the slow scenes in the forest between climax of violence set an oppressing atmosphere, making the gore scenes that follow more effective.
