Review of Cannibal Holocaust (1980) by Matt B — 15 Nov 2009

Brillantly made film focuses on 4 people who go into the Jungle and are never heard from again and their footage is found later on showing what happened. If this isnt what inspired the Blair Witch Project I dont know what did as the last broadcast certainly didnt. I found the movie brutal and heavy going but at the same time it displays different cultures and tries to bring the "Who are the real savages in the culture Us or them?" which is real food for thought since we are almost as bad as them in some ways regarding war and cruelty.

Def not for anyone as this is one of the best horror films I have seen in a long time and it proudly sits in my collection.
