Review of Cannibal Holocaust (1980) by Mirabella 1 — 30 Dec 2009

GORE A++++++++ Shows how good gore can be and how it can stand the test of time if you're not afraid to use a few pig carcasses... and one huge turtle. An exploitation masterpiece, I found myself actually angry at some of the rape/punishment scenes (the adultery punishment scene, the mud rape chick). This movie was disgusting and I loved it.

They had that Salmanya quote at the beginning of the copy I saw - "Those who do not forget the past are condemned to repeat it". I LOVE how good ol' classic grindhouse had fucking messages like, don't screw with south american cannibal tribes or don't go rapin' chicks and expect their parents not to kill you.
