Review of Cannibal Holocaust (1980) by Mark D — 20 Aug 2010
A film that will forever be remembered because of its pure audacity to be made. Very very cheaply made, but benefits from being so. Sure its OTT and inaccurate, but its questions on western society and the western media are interesting points to note.
Soundtrack from Riz Ortolini is superb and highten the tension and scenes that are aimed to disgust. For me this is a highly enjoyable and interesting film, but be warned there are real animal mutilations.
