Review of Cannibal Holocaust (1980) by Nathaniel C — 03 Jan 2011
A group of film makers set off into the jungle to make a documentary... After they don't come back, a search team goes looking for them and recovers their footage... Sound familiar? Well.. The main difference between this and the Blair Witch Project is that this was better.
The Blair Witch Project had spooky tent shaking in the middle of the night.. This had impalements and forced abortions. It was pretty graphic and horrifying.. The director was actually arrested because people thought the actors were really murdered for this movie.
Which to me says he definitely achieved whatever goal he set out to achieve.
