Review of Cannibal Holocaust (1980) by Octavian — 08 Oct 2011

After 30+ years I finally got to see it and...obviously dubbed, some poor acting, but it still shocked. By mixing the fake human slaughter with the real killing of animals, I found myself sometimes thinking I was seeing the real thing (how much were the 'cannibal' tribe exploited & the rest of the cast pushed beyond their limits?).

Even though the supposed found documentary evidence is obviously no more real than the Blair Witch Project, it makes for very uneasy viewing.
