Review of Candyman (1992) by Brandon S — 09 Apr 2010
A fairly standard horror film which, thanks to the efforts of Virginia Madsen and Tony Todd - as the protagonist and antagonist, respectively - manages to distinguish itself.
Though its real world vs. dream world scenario will never escape from Wes Craven's "Nightmare on Elm Street" handling of the subject, "Candyman" is still fun, even if the titular killer is no Freddie Krueger.
