Review of Candyman (1992) by Carlos S — 09 Nov 2008
Being a huge Clive Barker fan, I really wanted to see this when it first came out and I loved it. Its gritty and full of atmosphere and many images are directly taken from the original story. The title character is not the way he was described in the book, but he is a great design and Tony Todd plays him with great menace, but also you also understand what the character is doing by the end.
The film has aged well, still holds up today and is still very creepy. If you haven't seen it, give it a go, its worth it.
