Review of Candyman (1992) by Karen S — 21 Apr 2010
From the opening sequence utilising the great Philip Glass score over concrete freeway's I was "hooked". Bernard Rose's follow up film to "Paper house", based on a short story by Clive Barker, Candyman is an intense journey, we follow Virgina Madsen as she ventures further and further down a blood drenched rabbit hole into a surreal world of nightmares and legends.
Great sound design and music make the tension all that much more. One of the best horror's of the 1990's.
