Review of Candyman (1992) by Mekiah F — 24 Apr 2011
The first half of this movie had you at the back of your seat in fear and the frount of your seat in suspence. (so somewere in the middle). The reason for this is; you dont see candyman. What great horror makes understand is that to truly freeze your audience in horror you must keep the killer a secrect.
The Candyman himself isnt a scary dude its the idea thats frigtening. As long as you didnt see him it was terrifying. The end was rather predictable and confusing though. Over all not a bad horror film.
