Granted, I'm not the biggest fan of drug films. in focusing on drugs they deal with something I -fortunately- cannot relate to. some films might be an exception, such as trainspotting and requiem for a dream (although I'd call the latter a film on addiction in general going beyond only drugs), that were so good and so stylised that they contained something new, innovative, irresistible that made them worth seeing - and while I wouldn't consider candy a catastrophe, that is exactly what it lacks.
