Review of Candy (2006) by Sv G — 30 Mar 2008
Unlike similar movies dealing with drug addiction such as Spun and Trainspotting, I found myself more sympathetic towards the characters here. Solid performances by Abbie Cornish and Heath Ledger as well as by supporting actor Geoffrey Rush. This was hard to watch and should be considering it's subject matter. Despite the fact that this film is about drug addiction - it remains a bitter-sweet romance.
Heath Ledger shall be missed.
