Review of Candy (2006) by Sia N — 25 Feb 2009

Awe inspiring..had never heard of this film, and after seeing it cannot believe this hasn't been mentioned. A brutal, depressing, and devastatingly real portrayal of drug addiction-I think films like this should be compulsory viewing for impressionable teenagers who think that relying on drugs to get you through the rough times or to find some common ground with your peers is not the way to go through life.

This is Heath Ledger's best performance, not the Joker; see it and thank me later.
