It's a very lovey-dovey sorta movie, but unlike fairy-tales it seems real. I'd describe it as Romeo & Juliet on heroin, as both main characters struggle with the addiction. It's very emotional & intense throughout most of the movie.
Also, Heath Ledger really did an amazing job with this movie.
