Review of Canadian Bacon (1995) by Corey N — 17 May 2009
As a Canadian I fine this move very funny. Michael Moore brings in a lot of the typical stereotypes that Canadians are deemed to have. Sure some are spot on and just over exaggerated. There are even some typical preceived American stereotypes in this as well.
The story is basically that the American goverment are trying to start a war with Canada since they have no one else to fight since the Russians ended the cold war and they need to jump start the American economy again.
You can tell this is set well before 9/11. This film has a great cast. John Candy, Alan Alda, Kevin Pollak, Rhea Perlman, Bill Nunn and many others are very funny in this. Overall this is just a silly funny movie to watch.
