I must admit I can watch just about anything this woman is in. With a few recent ho-hum films, this is refreshing for any Melissa McCarthy fan. The dull and overcast environment perfectly sets the tone for everything this character is experiencing.
Melissa was no doubt the perfect pick for the role of this woman dealing with the challenges of life in her own clever way. The actions of Lee Israel may not be commendable but Melissa McCarthy's portrayal is.
