Review of Camp Rock (2008) by Cornholio B — 05 Jul 2009
Demi Lovato's first Disney appearence. It stars a girl named Mitchie Torres who has a brochure to go to Camp Rock. First her mom can't afford it, but then she can afford it. This takes place during the economic crisis we are suffering today. Mitchie comes to camp, helps out her mom with the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. She also meets a snobby girl named Tess, a girl named Kaitlin, and a guy named Shane. Mitchie has this talent of singing and joins the Final Jam. She lies to everyone that her mom is the president of Hot Tunes, but in a few scenes later, she admits that her mom is a cook and everyone of the camp hates her, but in the end, when singing, she gets her confidence back.
The movie was bad. The title is misleading, its not really rock, its pop. They should have called it Camp Pop. Many of the songs are cliche, the only song I like was Who Will I Be, cuz it reminds me of what I can be when I grow up. The plot is still the same to all of the Disney teen movies of today. GET SOME VARIETY!
I'd give it a 2/100. At least it has a moral, unlike other Disney movies.
