Review of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010) by Dave G — 26 Sep 2010
More songs, more spirit, more energy, and more enjoyable than the first one, the movie is easily influenced by shows like "Glee", with a plot involving a final jam against a rival camp across the lake. The other Jonas Brothers have more to do, especially Nick Jonas, whose character has a subplot with a girl from the rival camp. Surprisingly, this subplot has more screen time than the main characters played by Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas. But, it's okay, because Nick is the more charming one of the lot. There is more at stake here and I like the nice twist at the end which should teach kids that these Disney Channel stars are still human. Pretty decent for a G-rated TV kid movie and a tolerable soundtrack as well.
Grade: B-.
