Review of Camp Nowhere (1994) by Sarah H — 31 Dec 2008
Camp Nowhere is a hilarious comedy about kids that decide that they want to be alone for summer instead of attending organized summer camps that their parents send them too. What they find is that when they get sick of partying and eating junk food, that all they really want is some good, clean, safe, organized fun, which they can't figure out how to have without organized camps.
They find a guy at the mall, played by Christopher Loyd, to be the "counselor" for their camp, and they have one heck of a summer that I am sure they will remember for the rest of their lives.
I didn't give this movie five stars, because the parents should have caught on a lot sooner that the kids were not at organized summer camps. This was a fun movie, with a fun concept. This is a great movie that kids at summer camp, or those who dream of going to summer camp will enjoy.
This movie is a fantastic rainy day comedy as well.
