Review of Camp (2003) by Elizabeth N — 10 Mar 2008
What a crappy, crappy movie. I know I'm obligated to like this as an artsy fartsy person because it should "speak to me," instead I'm embarrassed. The acting is TERRIBLE, the characters are cliches, and once more they are so poorly developed that much of the plot seems contrived because their actions make no sense. And did Stephen Sondheim have nothing better to do than this cameo?
The only saving grace that makes me give this a full one star is that there are a few funny moments in the Dreamgirls, Company, and Romeo and Juliet scenes.
