- to Paul Brooks - there are no direct connections beetwen director's biography and his character from this film. Kieslowski's father was an engineer but he died when Krzysztof was a teeanger.
Kieslowski finished National Polish Film School in Lodz, and never worked in a factory (though he was painting his friends flats for money :). The most biographic film of his is "Personel" about a young guy who works in theatre.
This interesting, iconic for Polish school of cinema from communist Poland feature film is telling a story for every one filmmaker.
One of my favourite.
