Calvary is darkly comic and deeply thought provoking from the off. The disturbing and equally hilarious opening scene sets the tone for the whole film. Set the stunning surroundings of Sligo, Calvary boasts a fine up and coming cast, led by the godly masterful Brendan Gleeson, and is a frighteningly accurate insight into life in rural Ireland.
