Review of Calvary (2014) by Hardy C — 14 Aug 2014
A very thought provoking movie. Interesting storyline and dialogue. It looks at the church in the modern world. It's about a priest in a small irish town, but it confronts issues that are important in the larger part of Ireland, and ultimately the world.
The acting is spot on, especially Brendan Gleeson. The irish coastal town is beautifully filmed as well. It was also quite funny. the dialogue is great as well. It is not for the kids, or those looking for an action film.
