Review of Calvary (2014) by N K — 20 Aug 2014
Calvary may have a few cliches and some imperfect scenes, but Brendan Gleeson carries this movie through themes of mourning for sin, Christian love, and forgiveness. Maybe a little more quality and craft, a little less head thumping, and even some honest admission that Christians aren't perfect is what religious movies need.
