Review of Calvary (2014) by Sandra V — 11 Feb 2015
Gleeson and Reilly are excellent but the other characters are a little too much like caricatures. Ireland is beautifully filmed and there are touching moments as well as humour. I know it's a Christ parable so it's about a good man trying to help those around him and his efforts go unappreciated but it was ultimately too bleak for me.
