Review of Calvary (2014) by James O — 24 Jul 2015
As fine a film as I've seen for a long time underpinned by the relationship between Priest and his daughter. The wider cast all bring their own interesting angles to the film. Paced superbly with brilliant dry, dark humour, the tapestry of narratives are expertly interwoven.
If that weren't enough, you could almost watch for the wild Irish scenery alone. I think in the film world this is called a 'triumph'.
