Well directed and undeniably grim, Du Welz's Indie horror is mostly punctuated with material from superior genre-flicks like Deliverance and Straw Dogs and thus never really convinces or feels at all original.
Some beautifully realised visuals and a good cast can't quite drag this nasty and very violent thriller out of relative mediocrity.
