Review of Call Northside 777 (1948) by Joe D — 06 Jun 2008

Jimmy Stewart plays a cynical reporter who investigates the case of a jailed man. Digging deeper, whilst still believing him guilty, the reporter eventually changes his belief, yet struggles to completely convince those who can overthrow the verdict.

The film develops into an interesting and involving drama, with the viewers slowly getting convinced of the man's innocence. Not a classic, but a well-made and enjoyable journey.
