Review of Call Me by Your Name (2017) by Delingar — 12 Dec 2017
My heart was aching through most of it...aching for the longing the protagonist experienced, aching for the pain of the mixed signals between he and Oliver, aching for the anticipation for what he hoped might happen, aching for how things might all end up.
Meanwhile, the cinematography literally had me crying that I never had the great fortune to grown up in such a beautiful, idyllic environment. The amazing Michael Stuhlbarg almost managed to steal the whole movie in a late scene, and had me again wiping away joyful tears.
I'm currently relishing the audiobook version (narrated by Armie Hammer) and toying with the idea of seeing the movie a second time before it leaves theaters.
