Superbly well-acted and a beautiful story, this is one of my favorite films of the year. timothee's lead acting debut is one of the strongest i've ever seen. for all those calling this a "pedophile" flick, I really question your understanding of pedophilia when the younger character is 17 and the definition of a pedophile is someone attracted to children of "prepubescent age," which at 17 the character elio is obviously not.

really beautiful story and film that hopefully won't be defined by tone-deaf criticism.
