Review of Call Me by Your Name (2017) by Colette N — 25 Mar 2018
Call Me by Your Name was an extremely moving, cinematically masterful work of film. Certainly the best movie I've seen in years, its score only serves to enhance the emotional gravity provided by the superb acting of Chalamet, Hammer, and Stuhlbarg.
Although some may say that the movie moves too slowly, the tone set by extended shots and drawn out plot points forces the viewer to look inward and fully develop an emotional reaction to the elation and heartbreak displayed on screen.
I would recommend this film to anyone and everyone, and I believe it will stand the test of time as a great cinematic masterpiece.
