Review of Call Me by Your Name (2017) by Melissa K — 23 May 2018
I passed by this movie many times until one day I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. This movie has now become my favorite movie, one in which I can watch and have watched over and over. The acting is so extraordinary by every single character that you feel as though its real and find yourself wanting to live in this movie.
The love that builds between Elio and Oliver happens in a gradual, unforced, natural way and you feel it as the movie progresses. This movie has nothing at all to do with two men, or a young boy and a man, and has everything to do with connection between two souls regardless of age or gender (without judgment) which made me love this movie even more.
It was beautiful and pure and you can relate to it no matter who you are or what you believe. The scenery is breathtaking and the music exquisite. I have never had a movie pull me in and feel every expression or action from the actors in such an authentic or personal way.
Innamorato.
