One could hardly find these days a movie with a more topical theme.
Although it apparently revolves around the Kosovo issue and the often paradoxical ways Romanians deal with it and with the rest of the world, this movie is actually about alienation, dashed hopes and a desperate longing for salvation.
The irony is that "California dreamin'" may end up telling more about Kosovo's future than about Romania's past. Or rather about people waiting to be saved from themselves.
