Review of Cake (2014) by Brent_Marchant — 01 Feb 2015
Despite tendencies toward a lack of subtlety and occasionally trite cinematography, this engaging offering features an outstanding performance by Jennifer Aniston as a woman in chronic pain, both physically and emotionally, seeking to find a way out.
This moving story never disappoints, with its emotional heart tugs and acerbic wit providing an intriguing mix of emotions. It's a film that deserves far more attention than it has received.
