It doesn't fully develops the elements it introduces, but Daniel Barnz's Cake is elevated by a complex, detailed performance by a powerful Jennifer Aniston, a fantastic, moving performance by Adriana Barazza, and remarkable shots from cinematographer Rachel Morrison.
