Review of Cairo Drive (2013) by Michael H — 24 Feb 2014
Through talking about the chaos, difficulty, and humor of traffic and transportation in Cairo director Sherief Elkatsha opens up insights into life in Egypt and the changes revolution has (and hasn't) brought. A tremendously entertaining movie shot through with veins of meaning; both timely and universal.
Provides ample opportunities for American audiences to gasp in dismay and disbelief at the otherness of Egyptians who don't behave as we do.
