Review of Caged (1950) by Yuping L — 12 May 2008
There is just something about women in prison that perks my interest. Whether it's a psychological institution as in The Snake Pit, or a death row drama like I Want to Live, or the noir-ish thrill ride of Caged, I just can't seem to turn away until the final credits roll.
But don't let my self-indulgent ramblings scare you away, there is plenty here to like, even if you are not afflicted with my peculiar fetish for incarcerated females. This is a genuinely good film with an OUTSTANDING performance from (as usual) Agnes Moorehead.
