Review of Caffeine (2006) by Andi M — 12 Aug 2007
I laughed about three times. I cringed at the accents. I died a little inside. Do all American actors/actresses go to Australia to learn English accents? Cockneys do not come from Australia. Is that clear? Is it? It failed to impress right from the start: it was weak in all aspects - plot, dialogue, characterisation and comedy.
Never ever see this movie. Put it back on the shelf, and rent Coffee and Cigarettes instead - that's funnier, coffee/cafe based and the accents don't make you want to become an accent coach in Hollywood.
That is unless you're renting this to see an elderly woman brandish a shotgun, in which case put this film back on the shelf, pick yourself up a copy of Hot Fuzz and be done. Apparantly none of my friends want to see this film, I don't blame them.
I wish I hadn't...how I wish I could erase those 93 minutes of agony.
