Review of Café Society (2016) by Ryan B — 25 Jul 2016
After ten years away from Hollywood, DP Vittorio Storaro reminds us why he's the greatest living cinematographer. Cafe Society is a visual feast and while the generic story with a predictable love triangle doesn't reinvent the wheel, the old-school Hollywood setting and the chemistry between characters makes this an enjoyable, if not minor, entry in the Woody Allen oeuvre.
