Cheating, period. Basically, that is what this movie is about. Everyone seems to cheat on everyone. They break off the cheating, cheat with someone else, then cheat again. The film looks good with the 1930s Hollywood/Beverly Hills scenes and New York.
But, I found myself yawning thru it. Also, it's a bit predictable. But, I see every one of Wood Allen's movies so I really had to see this one too.
