Review of Caesar Must Die (2012) by David Ray G — 22 Nov 2012
I have to guiltily admit that I'm not at all familiar with the movies of the Taviani brothers, and this was the first one I saw by them.
Almost in the style of Stoppard's work, a play-within-a-play on screen. A movie that shows off exceptionally the power of great acting, and the chemistry between actors.
A simple idea carried out masterfully, where the content of the film is bare and with no embellishments to distract you. The closing line is almost a summary of why we watch movies, and that's not easy to show.
