Review of Cadillac Records (2008) by Jacob R — 25 Aug 2009
A noble attempt at the history of early rock and roll but the time line in this movie is extremely screwy. I'd like to learn more about the history of rock but even with my passing knowledge of rock and roll, I knew that Elvis came before the Beach Boys.
Adrien Brody is good but not at his best here as the manager of many famous musicians. Apparently there are other glaring mistakes in this movie. Mos Def is also amusing as Chuck Berry but it really seems like novelty casting.
