I don't know that I can judge this objectively since I love a lot of the music released by Chess Records. Maybe it's because so many of these artists are so iconic, but Mos Def playing Chuck Berry and whoever played Howlin' Wolf were not convincing to me.

I wouldn't say the performances themselves were bad, but yeah...
