Review of Cadillac Records (2008) by Lee G — 17 Mar 2010
The film is based on true events, but I'm not sure how much of what's on screen is 100% historically accurate. The truth is it doesn't matter one bit because the story is more about the music.
It's a solid biopic with compelling characters and strong performances. It also examines the cut throat nature of the record business in the early 50s and the start of mainstream blues and rock and roll.
