This was one of those movies that I REALLY wanted to like, but unfortunately I was hitting the ffwd button more than a few times. Maybe I was jaded by having enjoyed the movie Ray so much, kind of a Been there Seen that thing.
The bright side to this movie was Beyonce Knowles performing as Etta James (amazing vocals). In hindsight, I should have saved the $1.06, re-watched Ray and downloaded Beyonce singing At Last, Once in a Lifetime and Id Rather Go Blind off the web.
