Review of Caddyshack II (1988) by Colleen B — 29 Dec 2007
Harold Ramis worked on the script so it seemed promising if you kind of squinted and held your breath. Then after the credits you knew there wasnt going to be much to this film. Dan Aykroyd is trying to be Bill Murray, Chevy Chase is in some good cameos, Jackie Mason is being Jackie Mason but lacks the improv spontaneity of Dangerfield in the first movie.
Stack is no Ted Knight and the late-1980s fashions just seem laughable now. One star for Randy Quaid losing it in the first lawyers meeting and for Chase and Aykroyd being on screen at the same time.
