I know that "Caddyshack" is considered one of the timeless comedies of our time, and yes it's pretty entertaining. This movie definitely kept me entertained, but the thing is, I didn't feel a strong attachment to it. I know that I'm in the minority, but I just didn't love it as much as everyone else did.

This plot is the kind that movie studios would try to do today, and they would fail miserably. Basically a kids thinking about if he wants to go to college or not and he works as a caddy. The whole movie shows us strange characters who go to the golf club where he works, and a lot of weird stuff happens. It's a pretty cool idea, but like I said, if it were done today, it would probably be horrible.

The acting in the film is kind of good, but nothing special. I particularly liked Bill Murray's performance. I thought that he was hilarious from the beginning and he did a great job of playing the really weird individual. Rodney Dangerfield was pretty good, and Chevy Chase was just there in my opinion. I didn't think that he was that funny at all. But the movie certainly does have an interesting feel to it, and this feel is absorbed by the performances of some of the actors, so it works pretty well.

Another reason to watch this movie is that you don't really get comedy like this nowadays. This was the first movie that Harold Ramis directed, and you can really tell that this is his film. It truly is a nostalgic piece of cinema.

"Caddyshack" is a movie worth watching. Though it might be kind of weird, it's pretty funny. The performances are pretty good, and a movie person should watch it to understand how funny comedies used to be.
