The ending is amazing, so vivid. BUT you have to make it through the first 10 mins or so (for me it seemed like an eternity, I almost walked out) almost unbearable but I'm glad I stayed - a great film.
Once the French pretension of the opening scene is put aside, one can enjoy the film.
