Review of Caché (2005) by Marcus Y — 20 Oct 2008
Thrillers, are usually fast paced, contain frequent action and resourceful heroes. This film has none of those. It is a glorious piece of pretentious French rubbish which does not deserve any of the acclaim it recieved.
It's slow meandering story is well shot and certainly considered but left me cold... and moreover bored. There is a wealth of good European cinema being made at the moment which leaves me a pains to work out why this was recognised in the way it was.
The ending sums it up... confusing, dull and uneventful.
